Abderrazak MKADMI is a Tunisian academic. He is currently Assistant Professor in Information and Library Sciences at the Department of Information Studies, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Muscat, Sultanate of Oman (since 2021).
He is also an Assistant Professor (on leave) at the Higher Institute of Documentation (ISD), University of Manouba, Tunisia (since 2005). His career spans three countries — Tunisia, France and Oman — combining academic research, university teaching, expert consultancy, and international conference leadership.
Mkadmi obtained his PhD in Information and Communication Sciences from Paris 8 University (France) in 2004, under the supervision of Prof. Imad Saleh (Paragraphe Laboratory). In 2023, he obtained the Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) from the University of Manouba. He also holds two Master’s degrees obtained in France: a Master’s degree in Information Science from ENSSIB in 1997, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from École Centrale Paris in 2002.
In 2025, he also obtained the CHETL Certificate (Certificate for Higher Education Teaching and Learning) from Sultan Qaboos University, dedicated to developing skills in university pedagogy, pedagogical innovation, and the improvement of teaching practices in higher education.
His research focuses mainly on Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), digital archiving and long-term preservation, Big Data and artificial intelligence applied to information management, digital libraries, and the right to be forgotten. He is the author of 6 books, 35 scientific articles published in academic journals, and 37 conference papers.
